Comparative tests on connections for ribbed pannels

The experimental campaign was organized and planned to obtain a comprehensive overview of the behaviour of the connection made with SHARP METAL toothed plates. In particular, thanks to small-scale tests on the individual components, it was possible to model and predict the behaviour of larger specimens and verify the performance in full-scale elements. To accurately compare the theoretical results with the experimental ones, bending tests were carried out on the individual timber components (glulam beams, GL, and cross-laminated timber, CLT panels).
